Care

At Faith Outreach Center we realize everyone experiences challenges in life -- times when we could benefit from the support of a Christian friend. The purpose of care ministry is to encourage, pray and offer support to those in need. Our volunteers help by offering:

Hospital and nursing home visitations
Shut-in visits
A ride to our church services
Welcome wagon visits to new   families to our community
Prayer support

Preserve Women’s Mentoring Ministry

The Preserve Ministry was formed through our Care ministry to see woman walk in confidence,  through the transformation of their heart, mind and lifestyle by committing to a deeper relationship with God. The Preserve Ministry  empowers women to use their unique gifts and talents to help make a difference in their community and to transform their church, family and  future generations.

Life skill classes such as budgeting, cooking and sewing are offered. Special interest classes include herbal remedies, photography and crafts.

Volunteer opportunities are available to teach life skill classes, sew or knit baby and shut-in lap blankets, cook meals and clean.

Kids' Bridge

Over 55% of Rochester students qualify for free and reduced public school meals -- accounting for over 500 kids at the elementary level alone.  Kids' Bridge began in January 2010 as a program of Faith Outreach Center to provide a nutritional bridge between Friday and Monday, for under-privileged children in our elementary schools. Volunteers fill backpacks with food that are provided to qualifying students every Friday.

Donations are continually needed and can be processed through Faith Outreach Center. Just click on the online giving tab to make a donation.
